Event Description
The STEAM Boat will be hosting a Women in STEM Hackathon! The hackathon is open to both women and non-binary people. Contestants can submit a project that promotes women and non-binary people entering fields in STEM. This should be an app or website. For example, a project could be an app that allows for the exploration of different STEM careers based on a couple of questions that the user answers.
Submissions will be judged by women in the STEM (predominately Tech) field and winners will be awarded a certificate of achievement, a feature on the TSB’s Instagram page, and a TBD monetary prize. There will also be 4 coding workshops before and during the hackathon open for all registrants to join and learn. This hackathon is beginner-friendly :)
You MUST register for the event both on Devpost and through our registration form that is linked!
